I’ve been using this product for 9 months. I’ve had one noisy rat try to make a home inside the wall. He lasted 3 days, then moved on. I’m usually troubled by bats in the spring and summer. Those have also stayed away, although my neighbor has already had bat residents for a couple of months. And my other neighbor has cockroaches this year. None for me. I don’t know why it doesn’t work for some people. My place is single story, 1200 sq. ft. with a concrete floor, metal roof, and very tall attic space.

Suffering a bed bug infestation is bad news for everyone – they spread like wildfire, suck your blood and leave small red, itchy bite marks on your skin. To successfully eradicate them you have to be very thorough and methodically work your way through the infested area, if you miss any then you will probably have to repeat it all again in a few months time. Save yourself the expense of getting in a pest control company to do the job and read on to find out how you can get rid of bed bugs effectively and economically.

The first thing you need to do is identify where the problem is coming from. Strip off all bedding and check the mattress over for any live bugs or eggs, also search inside the seams. You are likely to see tiny blood stains on the mattress as bedbugs suck your blood whilst you sleep. When checking it’s important also to look at the areas around the bed, such as the bed frame and headboard, skirting boards, wallpaper joints and any furniture next to the bed. Put all your bedding, including sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, in the washing machine on the hottest wash suitable.

The mattress will need to be sprayed all over to ensure no eggs or insects are left. It’s possible to find bed bug killer spray that is lethal to insects, but causes no harm to people and leaves no stains or smell. Protector C spray is a natural, residual insecticide, which can deal with most bed bug infestations, effective and safe to use. Dethlac insecticidal lacquer can both kill and provide a barricade against pests for months.

Insect electronic rodent repeller sprays can be used against flies, mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, silverfish, fleas, beetles, and moths, and be applied directly onto hard porous and non-porous surfaces and furnishings without leaving any marks. Look out for products that contain natural pyrethrum if you really want to get rid of those pests once and for all but are also concerned about the environment. Organic insect killer sprays such as 0a2ki are based completely on concentrated natural plant extracts of food grade quality and proven to be safe to humans and pets. Free from pesticides, they can be used to control most types of common flying and crawling insects and are effective at all growth stages including larva, pupa and eggs.

Special mattress covers can be purchased to protect against bed bugs, they help to protect the bugs spreading and the infestation getting out of control. You can find them for sale online, they are also suitable for dust mites, mold and bacteria. A mattress cover will prevent you from having to waste the time and money on throwing out your old mattress when it can merely be treated and covered.

Using electrical products for pest control is emerging as a popular method. They are favoured by householders due to their simplicity of use and removing the need for sprays, powders or any kind of chemicals. Safe to use, they can be effective against all kinds of pests and are powered from the mains or battery operated.

The Ultrasonic 24/7 Mouse and Rat Repeller and Electromagnetic Rodent Repeller are effective against rats and mice and work by emitting ultrasonic sound waves that cannot be heard by people and pets but are intolerable to rodents. Electronic devices are also available to get rid of annoying flying insects, such as The Flyshield which attracts and captures flying insects, it produces no smells or noise and involves no chemicals. Or the Insect-a-clear COMPACT Circline Value Electric Fly Killer is suited for use inside the house. Moles, birds, squirrels and even cats and dogs can all be repelled with electronic pest control deterrents, giving you peace of mind that they won’t be a problem anymore and also that you have used methods that are green and kind.

I had to walk away from ordering this product due to the shipping being twice the amount of the product.
I can not imagine it costing more than $3 to ship this product. Simple gouging is what this is, ridiculous.

These things work!!! My mom bought me 3 of these 12 years ago when I moved off campus to an apartment complex in Baltimore. All my nieghbors complained about mice, but I NEVER saw a single one in the 3 years I lived there. I took the same 3 units and pluged them in at my townhouse, one on each level. And again, NO MICE!!! My units have been working for over 10 years. These things LAST and they WORK!!! I’m on here to buy 3 more for my little sister who just moved off campus into an apartment in Baltimore.

I have tried quite a few of the electronic bug replellers and NONE of them work like this one!!!!! We live surrounded by trees so bugs get in the house. Not only do I not want bugs in the house but I have a 2 year old little girl and I don’t want them in her stuff and she is deathly afraid of bugs. We plugged this in and expected to wait for a week or two for it to drive them out but after plugging it in I haven’t seen another bug in our house other than two dead ones!!!! This one REALLY works!!!! It’s been several weeks and I still haven’t seen any bugs!!!!!

We ended up having mice in the house and my husband wanted to kill them with the old mice traps. Well, I thought that was little harsh so I purchased this product. We found 9 mice shortly there after and I was able to catch them and let them go. The product said you will see increased activity while the mice try to get out and we did find this to be the case. Once they were all gone, we haven’t seen a mouse SINCE!

Once the product arrived, it was so simple. Simply open the box and plug in. No furthur instructions needed. It does all the work for you!

I will be recommending this to my father in law who also has mice!

I have to say, I am usually skeptical about “As Seen on TV Products” and some of the scam alerts I read about this item when performing a Google search. I read the good reviews on Amazon, and decided to just give it a shot. I live in Honolulu, where you really cannot avoid roaches. The first week I was here, I found many dead roaches from traps that were set up, as well as always seeing some on the run whenever I turned on a light when entering the apartment at night.

After plugging in Pest Offense, I have seen maybe two to three roaches total in the one week it has been operating. They are far and few between now (unlike the one night I entered the apartment previous to having this product and saw about 5-6 on the run for their lives in the kitchen). I have contemplated getting boric acid, but it seems that this product has been holding its own and I have put those plans on hold.

I will update this review in a few weeks to let other reviewers know whether I had to resort to boric acid or not, but at the moment, it does not seem that I will need it.

    June 2 Update:

Two weeks have passed, and I cannot recall the last time I’ve seen a roach, leading me to conclude this is working (at least for those with small apartments and on the roaches in Honolulu). I did not need to get boric acid.

As far as I can tell it’s working in the house, I haven’t seen any insects. We have never had a problem with insects/rodents in the house because I have always had pest repellers, just not this brand. One of my original repellers quit and I replaced it with the DX610. I liked it and thought it was working so I just put 2 in the garage for rodents but can’t tell at present if they’re effective. I need more time to make an evaluation. I will say that since putting them in the garage, I haven’t noticed any insects.
